RBD diversity training course discusses the business benefits of diversity in the workplace with best practice strategies on interacting with different personalities and cultures, and teaches employees to approach diverse people with inclusion and respect. It includes fast-paced learning sessions the designed for adult learners. Interactive group activities, classroom style lectures and virtual learning tools are utilized by knowledgeable facilitators with a wide variety of business backgrounds. Participants develop an individual and organizational inter-cultural engagement action plan that aligns with the client's mission and performance goals.
DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT - MULTICULTURAL TRAINING FOR RECRUITER AND HIRING MANAGERS
Utilizing the overall recruitment strategy as a baseline, participants are led through varying sessions that include classroom style lecture, virtual learning tools and group interactive activities. Exercises explain the definition for inter-cultural engagement, share best practice inter-cultural engagement strategies, and harness the practical insight and experience of participants to deepen the learning in real-time. The information captured in the training discussions are used as foundational material to develop an individual and organizational inter-cultural engagement action plan. The program makes their existing behavioral interviewing, selection, and recruiting processes more effective in generating a larger more diverse pool of qualified candidates to help achieve diversity goals.
Anthony is the Practice Lead of RBD Consulting Firm, LLC a human capital practice that specializes in innovative thinking and proven tools to help organizations understand and seize opportunities within a diversified global talent market. He heads the company’s people strategy, helping its clients identify, develop, motivate and reward its high performing and high potential talent in ways that fit with broader objectives.
Anthony has appeared on the ABC/Good Morning America, Fox Television Network and been quoted in publications such as the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, HR Executive Magazine, India Management Magazine and Ebony. He has spoken nationally to such groups as the American Council on Education, General Electric, Illinois Association of Educational Opportunities Program Personnel, Society for Human Resource Management, University of California at Berkeley, National YMCA Black Achievers and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. To help individuals maximize their life experience, Anthony has also published the book and workbook, Success By Design: Becoming the Person You Were Destined to Be.
Along with RBD Consulting, Anthony has served as Director of Global Diversity at the Convergys Corporation. Convergys is the world leader in integrated billing, customer care, and employee care services. It employs over 70,000 employees in 48 different countries worldwide. He was responsible for company-wide inclusion and diversity strategy, managing many of Convergys’ internal and external stakeholder relationships, developing and implementing diversity communication strategies, and serving as a primary spokesperson on diversity matters.
During his career, Anthony led recruitment for INROADS, Inc. as the National Director for Recruitment Services and managed over 7% of the organization’s entire corporate budget. INROADS is an international career development organization that recruits and trains talented minority students and places them in business and industry. His clients included Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, IBM and a host of other Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. Prior to INROADS, Anthony also served Vice-President of Enrollment Management at Fisk University, a U.S. News & World Report tier-one national liberal arts school and leading historically black college. During his tenure Anthony oversaw tremendous growth in full-time enrollees, increasing freshmen enrollment by 45% and student retention from 75% to 83%. Knowledgeable in student retention, several of Anthony’s retention exercises were highlighted nationally.
Most recently, Anthony led the recruitment, financial aid and retention strategy for Howard University as Associate Provost/Assistant Vice-President of Enrollment Management. Howard is a $731 million endowed institution, ranked #104 among national universities by U.S. News & World Report. Responsible for an operating budget of $300 million, Anthony’s portfolio has included Admission, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, Enrollment Systems, and Student Accounts.
Anthony is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Fisk University, holds a Masters from Vanderbilt University and a certification in Diversity Management from the University of Houston.
